Well, I think it is finally time to let the internet know that I am pregnant! And this weekend I will be halfway there (which is sort of hard to believe). My husband and I have been discussing starting a family for a while now and we (mostly I) figured that having a baby towards the end of 2013 would be great. With wedding season, my plan was to try to “schedule” the kid’s arrival for sometime after October. Well it turns out my “schedule” didn’t work out (at all!) and I am due on the Fourth of July, which I think is oddly appropriate for a Canadian baby born to am American mother. This does mean, however that I won’t be shooting any weddings from mid-May until the very end of August (and it looks like my September is now all booked up as well).

I am very much looking forward to being a Mom and can’t wait for the day that I get to meet this child that is growing inside me.

Here is a photo taken in East Sooke Park earlier this week. The running joke is to compare my bump to large meals I have consumed and I equate my bump so far with a double -double, fries and milkshake from In-N-Out. I am guessing that by the end of my pregnancy it will look like I consumed a whole watermelon, but we will have to wait and see.
