I feel like I have known Jen since I first started shooting weddings. She pops up at a handful of weddings every year and it is always a pleasure to cross paths with her on a wedding day. She is a funny little ball of energy and does some damn fine makeup. In addition to doing wedding makeup, she also recently started working out of Cosmedica, both doing makeup applications and starting to do facials. I headed over to Cosmedica to take some photos of Jen and check out her space!
How long have you been doing make-up?
Professionally (as a occupation) for 15 years!!!
How far in advance should brides get in touch?
Anywhere from a year in advance to 6 months. Cause there’s is only one of me ;)
You also work at Cosmedica, doing facials and skin care, do they offer any services that soon-to-be brides might be interested in?
Absolutely we have result driven skincare lines backed by medical science. In addition there are many safe and gentle treatments that can give your skin that wedding day glow!!!! Free consultations for more info ;)
What is your advice to brides who aren’t sure what they want for their wedding make-up?
If a bride is undecided on how they would like their makeup, make sure you find a artist that is well versed in more than one style.
Find someone who has a heart of gold and patience of steel and don’t be afraid to express your concerns and ideas! After all this will be a most magical day… and feeling confident always radiates beauty!!! When in doubt… It’s the 3 T’s trial trial trial. Three months prior to book a trial is the ideal time
