I love my family and  though moving away from the family I have always known in California has been tough, I am lucky to have some great in laws. I first met Dan and Vanessa over 10 years ago at their wedding. As a 19 year old I was a minor in the States, but not in Canada, and I may have gone a little crazy on the booze at their wedding. Okay, maybe more than a little. To this day Dan and Vanessa will introduce me to one of their friends and I will get a knowing look from them, “Yes, I remember you from their wedding.” Luckily, for my liver, I have matured a lot in the last 10 years and with everyone I know having babies it looks like a very different bottle will start to become a part of my life. I am looking forward to meeting Dan and Vanessa’s baby in just a couple of weeks! They are after all giving me my first niece or nephew.
