Ariel and Colin were the first couple to book a 2018 wedding with me, way back at the end of 2016, so I had a long time to get excited for their wedding. And as it got closer and closer, the more excited I got. They got married on a perfect July day on the beach at the, aptly named, Beach House. Their wedding also ended up being the wedding that really kicked off my season this year, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to kick things into high gear with. Ariel is also the only bride this year that I will be able to have a Disney song singalong with; As we drove back to the Beach House, after doing some portraits at Arbutus Cove, I remembered the mix cd my daughter’s friend gave us, which included “The Little Mermaids” “Part of Your World.” And when you have a bride named Ariel you can bet your butt she knows the words that that iconic song.
